The Maru-a-Pula School Library
Libraries are reservoirs of strength, grace and wit, reminders of order, calm and continuity, lakes of mental energy, neither warm nor cold, light nor dark … In any library in the world, I am at home, unselfconscious, still and absorbed.
Germaine Greer
The Maru-a-Pula School Library offers opportunities for research, reading and community. With spaces for collaborative and independent study, the library is where students engage with different ideas in the way most conducive to their own learning.
The library will be open in the afternoons for boarders only. This is because day scholars are supposed to vacate the school premises after lessons.
How the books are arranged
The library uses the Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme. An index and clearly-labelled shelves will guide you in finding books that you need.
Librarians are on hand to help you find resources and make the best possible use of the library and the services it has to offer!
