Defining and enabling a management framework which ensures cohesive policies, consistent administrative arrangements, guidance, processes and powers of decision for a given area of responsibility is crucial for a modern 21st century school. This empowers MaP, not only to meet the requirements of the law and regulations, but also the standards and community expectations of accountability and openness.
Maru-a-Pula operates under the Maru-a-Pula Foundation, the Board of Trustees, and the School Council, which provides governance oversight and strategic support to the School, both operationally and strategically.
This governance manual sets out the respective powers, rights and duties of the governing persons and bodies who will be mainly concerned with the management and control of the School
MaP has a balanced governance structure that effectively enables a variety of stakeholders to participate in the decision-making process. The following flowchart depicts MaP’s governance organisation structure.
