Support Staff "Green" Training

On a rotational basis, we will train the support staff so that they can incorporate environmental awareness into their work. The kitchen staff will be trained on how to compost food waste, using a traditional compost heap and/or a wormery. The cleaning staff will be trained on how best to separate waste at source and utilize the recycling system. The laundry staff will be trained on water conservation and the use of biological washing powders that can be used in a grey water system. Students will prepare materials in Setswana and plan the training program. This project displays an effort to improve the school and to educate the community about sustainability and the importance of environmental consciousness in one’s daily actions.
