Orchard Project

The old school orchard will be rehabilitated and new trees planted to increase our production of fruit for the school kitchen. We will clear the weeds, particularly the bindweed that is stangling the trees. We will improve the grey water irrigation system so that the trees are irrigated from the laundry room with recycled water. This project shows student involvement that benefits both the school and the environment. Not only are we undoing the damage of years of neglect, but we are providing a service to the school in the form of nutritious produce for the school’s students and staff.
