Alumni

Hello Friends, and Welcome Back, MaP Alumni*!

As you go through the pages of this website, undoubtedly you will notice how much things have changed. What has not changed, however, has been Maru-a-Pula's ongoing commitment to academic excellence and service to the community. Each of you have left an indelible mark on MaP and unfortunately, our students today have exceptionally large shoes to fill! Ultimately, we hope that your visit to this site brings you one step closer to coming back to MaP and experiencing Maru-a-Pula once again, for the very first time!

In the meantime, here are some areas that may be of interest to you.

Class Notes

We love to hear your news, and encourage you to submit notes about yourself and your classmates. Keep us posted on achievements, hobbies, marriages and births. Updates will be available to classmates via the next issue of Kgotla, the Maru-a-Pula Alumni Magazine. But remember, a picture is worth a thousand words!

Career Mentoring

MaP alumni boast a remarkable array of successful careers, and they enjoy sharing their stories, ideas and talents.  MaP alumni have been to universities in Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia and the Americas and they also live and work all over the world. As an alumni you can contribute your time and expertise to give our current students an insight into the world after MaP. If you are interested in being a panelist or a career mentor in our newly launched Alumni Mentoring Programme, please contact Sally Jobson at +267 3912953 ext 221 or via email at jb@maruapula.org. Alternatively, email Tebogo George at  mapalumni@maruapula.org

Lost Alumni

Over the years, graduates have relocated and we no longer have their current contact information. If you can help us update our records, please email us at mapalumni@maruapula.org.

Giving Back

The Annual Fund is money raised each year from Alumni to support various areas of Maru-a-Pula, including general bursaries and the Orphans & Vulnerable Children Bursary Fund, the Capital Development Programme to expand the library and build new class rooms and science laboratories, and the Community Service & Sports Programme. We have established significant goals in each of these areas, and severely require your assistance to meet them. Click here to learn more about MaP's future, and how you can support us.

Kgotla

The latest instalment of the Annual Maru-A-Pula Alumni Magazine, Kgotla, is out. To Download your copy: Click on the links below.

* Did you know: when we speak about Maru-a-Pula Alumni, we are referring to any student who attended MaP for 30 days or more, whether or not he or she wrote exams, or was expelled! In addition, alumni are categorised according to the year they wrote-- or would have written-- their O Level/ IGCSE Exams. For example:

Thabo left MaP after Form 2 in 1988. His classmates went to write their O Level exams in 1991. Thabo is MaP Alumni Class of 1991.
