Maru-a-Pula is located on a beautiful, well-shaded campus situated in the heart of Gaborone, Botswana. The campus is home to academic, sport, arts, and boarding facilities as well as staff housing. These pages provide a full listing of campus facilities and recent improvements at Maru-a-Pula.

Recent Improvements

  • All the old flat-roofed classrooms (10 in all) are now air-conditioned; roofs are sealed; walls plastered and painted; all old desks and chairs have been replaced; old metal doors have been replaced by aluminum frames with smaller window panes; most if not all of  the old beat-up lockers have been removed and replaced by new lockers situated on outside walls throughout the campus.
  • Both the Boys and Girls Boarding Houses are served by air coolers.
  • The old chain-link fence has been supplemented by an electrified fence around three- quarters of the campus, the front quarter now has a handsome, forest green, palisade-style fence along the road leading in -- from both directions- to the MaP entrance at which an electronic boom has now been put in place.
  • The cinder dust track has been buried and amalgamated while the track surface has been properly graded.
  • The basketball courts have been re-surfaced.
  • The swimming pool has been completely re-tiled/ re-surfaced.
  • The front-of-school parking lot has been paved.
  • All the computer-lab equipment in the school has been replaced in the last year and our internet connection is much faster. 
  • The library has been thoroughly renovated on both sides, with new furniture and all new computers.
